Former Indian cricketer got a place in the Lucknow Super Giants team's support staff, see file

The Lucknow Super Giants team has already started preparations for the next season. The team has expanded its coaching staff. Former Indian cricketer and coach Sridharan Sriram has joined the Lucknow team. He was given responsibility as assistant coach. The head coach of Lucknow is Justin Langer. The team’s global mentor is former Indian player Gautam Gambhir. Now Shriram has also joined the team.

Sreedharan has a lot of coaching experience. He was associated with the Bangladesh T20 team. Under his guidance, the team had registered a spectacular victory in the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup. He has played an important role for the Australian team. He also played an important role for the Australian team during the T20 World Cup and Ashes Series 2021-22. He has also worked as a support staff in the Indian Premier League. Sreedharan was an assistant coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

It is noteworthy that Shriram has played 8 ODI matches for India. He took 9 wickets and scored 81 runs. He has also played 133 first-class matches in which he took 85 wickets and scored 9539 runs. Sriram has scored 32 centuries and 36 half-centuries in this format. He has scored 4169 runs in 147 List A matches. In addition, 115 wickets were taken.

As for Lucknow Super Giants, the team led by KL Rahul performed well last season. The team had qualified for the playoffs. However, due to injury, KL Rahul could not play many matches. Lucknow played 14 matches in IPL 2023 and won 8.
