Foreigners in Kuwait are in big trouble

The Kuwaiti government has decided to raise the minimum salary limit for visas.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, it has been decided to increase the salary limit for family or dependent visa (Article 22) to 800 dinars.

The minimum wage in the Sultanate is currently fixed at 500 dinars.

This decision will apply to all immigrants who hold private and public visas Article 17 and 18. The Ministry of Home Affairs will make a formal announcement regarding this decision soon after which it will come into force.

According to the local newspaper al-Anba, in order to obtain a dependent or family visa, those with a salary of 800 dinars must provide an original work permit or other tangible proof.

This decision will make it extremely difficult for foreigners residing in Kuwait to obtain visas for their families.
