Khartoum: Rapid forces in Sudan have attacked a biological lab, the World Health Organization has warned of the spread of a dangerous virus as a result of this attack.
According to international media reports, the risk of using biological weapons during the civil war in Sudan has increased, as rapid forces violated the ceasefire and stormed a biological lab in Khartoum.
Rapid forces seized the laboratory, took away access to the staff stationed there, and cut off the electricity.

WHO says there is a risk of dangerous virus spreading from the lab, WHO representative in Khartoum Nima Saeed says that there are various vaccines in the lab, which are kept at a certain temperature, if the power is not restored immediately. If done, the situation will get out of control.

According to reports, doctors have appealed for immediate help from the international community to stop the virus from escaping from the lab.
Meanwhile, according to the BBC, the city of Khartoum has reached the brink of destruction due to the fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The World Health Organization says the laboratory stores a wide range of biological and chemical materials, including measles and cholera pathogens, as well as other hazardous materials.
