Football: Frenchman Marcus Thuram sent off after spitting in a player’s face

French international Marcus Thuram was sent off for spitting on Saturday during a Bundesliga match between Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hoffenheim. Thuram’s gesture, in the middle of Covid, by the way, could lead to a strong sanction, a few months before the Euro.

This is a gesture that can be expensive. Marcus Thuram spit in the face of Stefan Posch at the end of the match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim (1-2).

In the 76th minute of the match, Thuram lost a dribble at the entrance to the area against Posch, lost the ball and fell. The defender approaches him, seems to scold him for being disappointed. Thuram gets up abruptly, an exchange begins between the two players, and the Frenchman ends up spitting in his face.
