Fnatic Eliminates Movistar Koi in LEC Quarterfinals with 3-1 Victory

And today began the first great weekend of League of Legends Europe in 2025. Throughout these days, we will find out who this year’s first LEC champion will be, in a grand final that will take place on Sunday, and G2 eSports is already waiting to know their rival. The first meeting took place today, with Movistar Koi facing off against Fnatic – two of the great favorites at the beginning of the split who had to advance through the loser’s bracket after falling to Karmine Corp and G2 eSports, respectively. This clash had not been seen since the first day, in which the tents gave a real beating to the British organization.

It’s fair to say that Fnatic’s boys came into the match as favorites, having been regular phase champions. Of course, there were doubts, especially after they stayed very close to elimination against Team BDS, which even touched the link in the third and final game, but threw all the advantage overboard.

Fnatic Punishes Movistar Koi’s Mistakes

The truth is that the first game mostly reminded us of that map against the Swiss organization. This time, it was Fnatic who went ahead on the map, with an upset Ezreal that started very strong. Movistar Koi’s hope began to be Myrwn, who started taking kills with Ksante and turned the car around.

The fights began to be very positive for Movistar Koi, based on mechanics and good execution, managing to end the enemies to the point of trying to end the game with a last push. Unfortunately, this decision was precipitated, and despite throwing the nexus towers, Fnatic’s boys resurrected and ended up taking the first point.

The second map started in a very encouraging way for Movistar Koi, getting some very early murders in the Jinx de Supa in a composition that, a priori, would highlight in the late game. Everything pointed to the fact that all they had to do was endure the advantage until the climb, but once again, bad fighting and uncoordinated decisions between players caused Fnatic to take a second victory that could be definitive.

For the third game, it’s true that Movistar Koi was going to punish Fnatic, using especially a very good Kalista from Supa who dominated the entire game. An easy victory that had to serve the tents to leave with motivation and try to reverse the sweep.

Unfortunately, this was not going to happen. Movistar Koi was going to sin again from very bad decision-making when fighting. A very good humanoid Syndra was going to be key to putting the British very ahead, and the Spaniards had to work a miracle. This at times seemed to come, but a disastrous last fight in which Melzhet’s really did not have to fight was going to be the play that sentenced them. The botlane and the jungle fell, and Jojopyun was going to end up suffering the same punishment after a genius from the Czech rival Midlaner.

It ended in a 3-1 for Fnatic, who will face Karmine Corp tomorrow for a pass to the grand finale, leaving Movistar Koi to go to the spring split. A disappointing result, taking into account that the organization already marked the objective of the LEC in this 2025, but it must be said that it occurred in one of the seasons with more equality in the high zone of the competition. Much to improve, without a doubt, but the options for spring and summer are still intact.
