Fluxo Eliminated from CS2 Budapest Major by FaZe

Brazilian esports team Fluxo has been eliminated from the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, ending their bid for the Counter-Strike 2 championship after a hard-fought loss to powerhouse FaZe Clan.

The Brazilian squad fell 2-1 to FaZe in a decisive best-of-three series played on Thursday. This defeat marked the conclusion of the first phase of the major tournament.

FaZe Clan continued its dominant run, having also eliminated another Brazilian team, RED Canids, a day earlier. FaZe secured their spot in the next stage of the competition.

Following their elimination, Fluxo expressed their disappointment online. The team acknowledged the end of their tournament journey.

FaZe Clan claimed the opening map, Inferno, with a 13-6 score. Fluxo rallied back on Nuke, winning 13-7, but FaZe ultimately sealed the series on Mirage, 13-10.

The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 serves as a crucial event in the global Counter-Strike 2 calendar. The first phase featured high-stakes matchups for several teams.

Three Brazilian teams—Fluxo, Legacy, and Imperial—faced elimination or advancement in the final day’s play. Fluxo now joins other squads, including RED Canids, who will not proceed in the competition.
