These days Pakistan is facing a huge cash crunch with increasing unemployment and hunger. It is being estimated that inflation may reach 23-25 ​​per cent in the current financial year. The Planning Commission has recognized that the growth rate of agriculture can go below zero from 0.7 percent to 2.1 percent. Whereas in the current financial year, the target was to keep the growth rate of agriculture at 3.9 percent. At the same time, the country may have an export deficit of three billion dollars. Sindh is the worst-hit province due to the floods, with a loss of $5.9 billion.

Balochistan also ruined by floods

In Balochistan also, there has been a loss of 3.04 billion dollars due to floods. PDNA said long-term construction in areas affected by major natural disasters could take two to 10 years. According to the Chief Economist of the Planning Commission, Punjab province has suffered $0.55 billion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa $0.54 billion, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir $0.02 billion, Gilgit-Baltistan $0.03 billion due to floods.
