Brazilian football club Flamengo sparked online controversy by mocking rival Palmeiras with a “vice again” social media post featuring baby pigs after securing the national championship.
The post, widely shared across social platforms overnight, depicted two animated baby pigs struggling unsuccessfully to climb onto a sofa. Its caption, “Vice de novo,” translates to “Vice again.”
This direct jab referenced Palmeiras’ club mascot, which is a pig. The online taunt intensified a long-standing rivalry between the two prominent Brazilian clubs.

The latest online jibe echoed similar provocations from Flamengo following their prior victory in the Copa Libertadores. This established a pattern of social media jabs between the teams.
Palmeiras, led by coach Abel Ferreira, had been strong contenders for the Brasileirão title. However, the team faltered in several key matches during the final stretch of the season.
Flamengo capitalized on their rival’s stumbles, seizing the lead in the standings. They ultimately clinched the championship with a five-point advantage.
The Rio de Janeiro club secured the title with a match still remaining in the season. This occurred despite Palmeiras’ 3-0 victory over Atlético Mineiro in their own penultimate game.
