The disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines plane in 2014 remains a mystery, which is why several theories continue to fuel speculation about what happened.
Flight MH370 flew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2017 with 239 people on board.
The plane took off from Malaysia’s capital at 12:41 a.m. and half an hour later the communications system began reporting strange events.
At around 1:21 a.m. contact with the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft was completely lost and it completely disappeared from radar. Since then, the whereabouts of this aircraft have been a mystery for nine years
The governments of Malaysia, China and Australia have spent millions of dollars on their search but have not achieved satisfactory results.
Theories suggest that the plane may have crashed at some point in the Indian Ocean, but investigations have always been unsuccessful.
Over the years, some remains of the aircraft have been found on the African coasts and on some islands in the Indian Ocean; However, authorities have not yet reached a final conclusion about what happened.
The story of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was so relevant that documentaries and series were made, such as the one premiered on the Netflix platform: “MH370: The Missing Plane”.
A fisherman gives his testimony
The story took a new turn after a retired small ship captain put forward a version that could reignite the debate over the disappearance of Flight MH370.
Australian Christopher Olver revealed that nine years ago his fishing team found what would be the wing of a sea creature airliner with his trawl net.
The man reported it to the authorities, but his version was not taken into account at the time and a search for this object was not carried out.
This was forgotten, but Kit Olver revealed it again in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
“It was a bloody huge wing of a big passenger plane… I asked myself; I was looking for a way out. I wish I’d never seen that thing… but there it is. “It was the wing of an airplane,” he said.
This veteran assured that the remains could still be on the seabed near Australia.
In addition, he said that he was sure it was the wing of a large aircraft since he received a pilot’s license at a young age and knew about it.
Olver said they tried to lift the wing onto the boat they were on, but it was so heavy that the net broke.
“As soon as I saw it, I knew what it was. Apparently it was a wing or a large part of a commercial aircraft. “It was white and obviously did not come from a military aircraft or a light aircraft,” he explained.
The attempts were in vain and so the captain ordered the net to be cut completely and the supposed wing of the plane to be lowered so that it fell back to the seabed.
This man came forward with his version after remaining silent all these years, but he fears he will be labeled a conspiracy theorist.
The disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines plane remains a mystery and, for now, the victims’ relatives continue to search for answers about what happened.
