After the defeat of India, some Kashmiri students were attacked at an engineering institute in the Sangrur district of Punjab. Police have reported that students from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar quarreled with students from Kashmir, police said slogans were raised after Sunday night’s game. After this there was a fight between some students. Some students from Kashmir and other students from Uttar Pradesh-Bihar were watching games in their respective rooms at the Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology in Sangrur. After India’s defeat in the match, there was an altercation between the students.
