Fiordaliza Cofil is fifth in the Diamond League; Ogando finishes fourth

Dominican sprinter Fiordaliza Cofil came in fifth place in the 400-meter dash at the tenth stop of the Diamond League held in Monaco on Wednesday afternoon.

Cofil made a time of 50.55 seconds to be among the top five runners in the circuit that took place on the Stade Louis II track.

The double Olympic champion, Shaunae Miller, of Bahamas, stayed with the maximum honors of the contest after timing a 49.28. In second place was Bahamian Candice McLed, who made a total of 49.87, while third place was conquered by Sada Williams, (50.10) from Barbados.

Alexander Ogando finishes in fourth place

World champion Alexander Ogando was a few tenths away from finishing among the best three in the tenth stop of the Diamond League in the 200-meter dash.

Ogando finished with a time of 20.02 seconds, just eight tenths from third place, which was conquered by the American Michael Norma, who made a total of 19.95.

The first place was commanded by Noah Lyles, from the United States, who reached the finish line when the clock showed 19 with 46, while the second place was obtained by the also American Erriyon Knighton.
