FIFA Announces 2026 World Cup Ticket Prices: Finals Up To €5,765 With Dynamic System

The price tag for football’s biggest game just got real. FIFA announced Wednesday that tickets for the 2026 World Cup could soar to 5,765 euros for the grand finale. Even a spot in the group stage will set fans back around 51 euros. That’s a pretty wide range, and there’s a catch: these aren’t fixed prices.

For the first time ever, the global football body is using dynamic pricing. This means ticket costs can go up and down based on how much demand there is. Think of it like booking a flight; the earlier you buy, the better deal you often get. FIFA is actually telling fans directly to snap up tickets quickly. Their advice is clear: don’t wait if you want to be there.

Heimo Schirgi, who runs the show for event operations, really drove this point home. He especially wants folks living in the host cities and fans from the three host countries – the United States, Mexico, and Canada – to move fast. He put it simply: “Buy your tickets early, because anything can happen.” It sounds like a warning wrapped in good advice.

This upcoming World Cup, running from June 11 to July 19, will be a massive affair. It’s the first time 48 national teams will compete, playing a grand total of 104 matches. The United States, Mexico, and Canada are automatically in, of course. So far, 13 other teams have also secured their spots, including the reigning champions, Argentina.

Fans of the host nations already know where their teams will kick off. The U.S. side plays on June 12 and June 25 in Los Angeles, plus June 19 in Seattle. Mexico’s team starts in Mexico City on June 11 and June 24, also playing in Guadalajara on June 18. Canada makes its debut on June 12 in Toronto, then plays on June 18 and June 24 in Vancouver.

The first chance to grab tickets is just around the corner, from September 10 to 19. This early sale is pretty exclusive. You need to be registered on FIFA’s official website and also hold a credit card from the organization’s main sponsor. If you meet those requirements, you can sign up for a lottery to get early access to tickets.

If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you’ll hear by September 29. Then, starting October 1, you can buy up to four tickets for any single game. There’s also a total limit of 40 tickets for the entire tournament. FIFA expects a huge rush for these tickets. They plan to release more sales phases in the months ahead, including one after the final tournament draw on December 5.
