Fetty Wap is back. The New Jersey rapper officially released the cinematic music video for his track “White Roses” this weekend. The visual drop arrives just months after Willie Maxwell II was released early from federal prison to home confinement on January 7. He served nearly three years of a 72-month sentence for a 2022 drug trafficking conspiracy conviction.
Maxwell immediately hit the studio upon his release from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone, Minnesota. The resulting project is his comeback album “Zavier.” It officially debuted on Friday. The 17-track release channels his recent legal battles and a stretch in solitary confinement into new music.
“White Roses” features vocal collaborations from his sisters, Divinity and Ymanie. The creative direction for the music video draws direct visual inspiration from the film “Sinners.” The entertainment world is closely watching his return. He continues to navigate his career resurgence while completing the remainder of his sentence under home confinement.
