Fenerbahçe’s Muriqi Pursuit: Fact or Fiction in the Transfer Market

Transfer Speculation Surrounds Real Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi

Recent rumors in the Portuguese press have linked Real Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi to Fenerbahçe, a team managed by José Mourinho. However, official sources have confirmed that no official offer has been made for the forward.

The speculation surrounding Muriqi’s potential transfer is believed to be connected to Fenerbahçe’s negotiations for the sale of Youssef En-Nesyri to Al Nassr. Muriqi’s name has been mentioned as a possible replacement, with a reported transfer fee of around 10 million euros.

An Amortized Signing with a Desire to Stay

Muriqi joined Real Mallorca in July 2022 for a fee close to 8 million euros, plus variables. Since then, he has established himself as the team’s starting striker, scoring 26 goals. His contract runs until 2027, and he has expressed his desire to spend a long time on the island.

Despite being the highest-paid player on the squad, Muriqi has emphasized his commitment to the team. While a significant offer could potentially change his situation, there is currently no indication that he will be leaving.

A Wait-and-See Approach

Real Mallorca is monitoring the situation, but there is no sense of urgency. The club understands that the rumors surrounding Muriqi’s transfer are currently unfounded. However, they are aware that Muriqi has experience playing in Türkiye and for Fenerbahçe, where he scored 17 goals and provided seven assists in one season. As a result, the club is adopting a wait-and-see approach, prepared for any potential surprises that may arise.
