Fencing obtains tickets in Foil, Saber and Sword for Central Americans

The Dominican Fencing Federation obtained a resounding international victory by qualifying for the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador 2023, for the Women’s Saber, Men’s Saber, Foil and Sword teams, as well as several in the modality individual.

The information was provided by the president of the Dominican Fencing Federation, Luis Ciprián, who took the opportunity to congratulate each of the athletes for this great step, in addition to the coaching staff and those who made up the delegation in San Salvador.

He indicated that now these athletes, in both branches, will begin their preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games that will take place in the summer of next year.

“We are not going to stop working, these team classifications will force us to redouble our efforts to have a great participation in the San Salvador Games in 2023, where we will play the national anthem, with the favor of the Creator,” exclaimed Ciprián.

Likewise, the president of the Fencing Federation thanked the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in San Salvador, Julio César George Encarnación, who remained throughout the competition providing support to the Dominican fencing delegation. Marcos Clase was the delegate of the Dominican team.

By teams in Women’s Saber, Men’s Saber, Women’s Foil and Women’s Epée.

Women’s saber, Heyddys Valentín, Rossy Félix, Maiber de la Cruz and Melody Martínez.

Men’s saber classified Darling Rodríguez and Gabriel Alfau.

Women’s foil advanced to the Games, Deyanara Matos and Carla Michelle Soto.

The women’s Sword team got their ticket Elsa Mateo and Violeta Ramírez.
