Fedofútbol puts the Parque del Este football field into operation

The Parque del Este Stadium soccer field was reopened after being refurbished by the Dominican Soccer Federation for high-performance national and international commitments. The new gramado was activated within the framework of the eighth day of the Dominican Soccer League with the duel between Delfines del Este and Jarabacoa FC.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by the members of the executive committee of Fedofútbol headed by President Rubén García Ciprián, the executive director of the LDF, Jorge Allen Bauger, and as guests, authorities of the Santo Domingo Este municipality led by Mayor Manuel Jiménez, as well as directors of both clubs.

In this way, Fedofútbol recovered the playing field of this emblematic sports venue in the eastern zone that had not seen top-level action for three years, but had not received maintenance since it was built for the Santo Domingo 2003 Pan American Games. .

The investment of the governing body of national football in this infrastructure included the total removal of the old grass, the installation of a new irrigation and drainage system, the placement of the new grass -bermuda type-, the refurbishment of the perimeter fence, in addition to the maintenance of the grandstand chairs for the comfort of the fans.

It should be noted that the State assumed the commitment to restore the building: dressing rooms, bathrooms, offices, press area, lighting, among other areas, which would be completed in a second stage that would complement the investment made by Fedofútbol.
