The Dominican Federation of Baseball Inc. (Fedobe) led by its president, Lic. Juan Núñez, announced that for Friday, October 8, in Moca the start of the semifinal series of the Summer Baseball League, and special recognition will be carried out to the leader of the Olympic bronze, Héctor Borg and to the producer Juan Carlos Espinal.
The recognition of Héctor Borg and Juan Carlos Espinal will take place at the Bragañita García Stadium in Moca, Espaillat Province at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021.
“For us it is an honor and pride to be able to recognize in the person of Héctor Borg, our Olympic bronze medalists in baseball, a medal that will remain in the history of our country, and this is the way we have to thank for the great work and the delivery of Borg to our national team ”, expressed Juan Núñez.

The Dominican Republic’s Professional Baseball Summer League is entering its penultimate round, with the start of the semifinal between the Indios de La Vega and the reigning champions Granjeros de Moca.
The semifinal is agreed to the best of three games (3-2).
The first match is scheduled for this Friday, October 8 at 2:00 pm at the Bragañita García de Moca Stadium, then the second match will move to the La Vega Olympic Stadium on Saturday 9 at 1:30 pm.
And if a third and decisive game is necessary, the series would be returning on Sunday, October 10, starting at 11:00 in the morning.
The winner of this semifinal would be facing the ninth of the Mineros de Bonao in the grand final.
The twelfth version of the Professional Baseball Summer League, has the endorsement of the Dominican Baseball Federation Inc. (Fedobe), the support of the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, Banreservas and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec) .
