FC Porto Prepares for Francisco Conceição Standoff; €45M Clause Imminent

A quiet showdown is unfolding in the transfer market. One week from now, on July 16, FC Porto’s asking price for Francisco Conceição will jump. His release clause will go from 30 million euros to 45 million euros. That’s a 50 percent increase. This current, lower price has been active since June 15. All eyes are on Juventus. They are seen as the most serious club to make a formal offer. After all, they had the young winger on loan last season.

Despite weeks of rumors, FC Porto has not received any official bid for Conceição. The Dragons, as they’re known, are staying calm. They feel confident in this patient waiting game with Juventus. Conceição is still under contract with Porto until 2029.

The 22-year-old player is currently on a three-week holiday. He was given this break after playing for Juventus in the Club World Cup. He will report to Porto’s training grounds, Olival, at the end of next week. If plans hold, Conceição will join Francesco Farioli, Porto’s new coach, for the team’s training camp in Austria. This camp runs from July 21 to 25. Porto expects Conceição to complete medical tests first. Then, he will start his physical training at Olival. He will wait there for the rest of the team to return to Porto.
