Portuguese sports rivals FC Porto and Sporting CP united in a rare display of solidarity Friday, setting aside their intense competition to offer condolences to Edo Bosch, a former FC Porto player and current Sporting coach, following the death of his father.
FC Porto issued a public statement on social media platform X, expressing its sympathy for Bosch. The message acknowledged his significant history with the club.
The statement read, “FC Porto sends heartfelt condolences to Edo Bosch, who represented our roller hockey team for almost two decades, for the passing of his father.”

Bosch, a prominent figure in Portuguese roller hockey, is currently the coach for Sporting CP’s roller hockey team, a direct rival of FC Porto.
