FC Bayern Munich’s 2 goals for next season

According to reports from the sports magazine Kicker, FC Bayern Munich is preparing a profound squad restructuring for the coming summer and is aiming for at least seven departures. Players who could leave the club include right-back Bouna Sarr and striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, whose contracts expire at the end of the season.

Although Choupo-Moting had some notable moments in his four years at Bayern, he was largely just a substitute in the team. Sarr, for his part, failed to establish himself as a reliable option on the right wing. However, his departure will not cause any contractual problems for the club.

Bayern want to carry out an important clean-up operation

The new sports director on the board, Max Eberl, faces the difficult task of deciding on the future of twelve other players who are not named in the publication. For some players like Alphonso Davies there is speculation about possible transfers to other clubs like Real Madrid.

Although FC Bayern’s finances allow it to make new signings, the departure of several players is considered necessary to improve its market position. Eberl, who could take up his position before the game against Freiburg, will first have to decide on the successor to current coach Thomas Tuchel.
