After nine remarkable years, Håvard “rain” Nygaard recently played his final competitive match for FaZe Clan. This moment marked a significant turning point for the Counter-Strike veteran. His last outing saw FaZe face off against MOUZ for third place in the ESL Pro League Season 22 tournament.
The intense Counter-Strike (CS2) series was set as a best-of-three, with Ancient, Overpass, and Nuke picked as the battlegrounds. The stakes were clear: secure a top spot and bid farewell to a legendary player. However, the contest concluded sooner than some expected. MOUZ clinched third place, dominating the series with a decisive 2-0 victory.
The two-map showdown saw MOUZ take control early. They secured Ancient with a score of 13-7. Following that, they continued their winning streak on Overpass, closing it out 13-10. This strong performance earned MOUZ the third-place finish.
What a dance it was.
One more time, from everyone at FaZe and the entire Counter-Strike community.

This game closed the chapter on rain’s long journey with FaZe. He first joined the team in January 2016, following a brief period with G2. For nearly a decade, he proudly carried the club’s name. The organization had announced his departure weeks ago. Yet, they brought him back one final time for this special “last dance” series. It was a fitting, albeit bittersweet, end to an incredible career with FaZe.
