FaZe Clan Announces S1mple and Brazilian Player Skullz for Upcoming CS2 Tournaments

The esports world is buzzing with the news that FaZe Clan has brought back a legendary player. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, widely regarded as one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time, is set to join the team for two major upcoming tournaments: IEM Dallas and BLAST.tv Austin Major. S1mple replaces Helvijs “broky” Saukants, who will be sidelined for these events.

S1mple hasn’t played much CS2, having only participated in four tournaments with Falcons without achieving much success. His performance with FaZe Clan will determine whether he’ll stay with the team long-term. FaZe Clan announced his arrival on X, saying, “The CSGOAT is back – and he’s on our side now.” They also posted a picture of s1mple with the FaZe Clan logo.

Felipe “skullz” Medeiros, a Brazilian player, will also be part of the team, but only for IEM Dallas. He’ll fill in for Håvard “rain” Nygaard, who can’t compete due to personal reasons. Skullz has been on FURIA’s bench since April, when Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis took his spot. FaZe Clan welcomed skullz on X, posting, “Bom dia, Brasil! Joining us as a substitute for IEM Dallas: @skullzcs.”

The current FaZe Clan lineup for the two tournaments is:

  • s1mple
  • skullz
  • karrigan
  • EliGE
  • frozen

S1mple’s addition is a significant boost for FaZe Clan, and fans are eager to see how he’ll perform in CS2. The team’s success in the upcoming tournaments will depend on how well s1mple and the rest of the team work together. With s1mple on board, FaZe Clan is looking strong for IEM Dallas and BLAST.tv Austin Major.
