The Association of Landowners and Farmers (ADHA) asked President Luis Abinader to order a zero-rate financing for the acquisition of embryos for beef cattle production.
The request was made by the president of the ADHA, Julio de Beras, who pointed out that this it would be a support for the breeding, raising and fattening of beef cattle and a fundamental incentive for the growth and development of the national livestock sector, at the same time that it would constitute a significant contribution to the stability of the exchange balance.
De Beras made the request to the president in his Medal of Honor award speech to Merit, which was headed by the Head of State, and in which act he said he felt proud of the Dominican agricultural producers.
The president of ADHA also stated that the Government support has gone to rapid and significant aid to producers affected by African Swine Fever (ASF)with the purchase of slaughtered animals, diversification programs and special financing.
Likewise, said de Beras, that the rice sector is very grateful for the support received, through the multiple subsidies that the government has granted and the support to keep the sector stable.
