Farense’s goalkeeping spot has been a revolving door lately. The club is clearly making big moves before the transfer window shuts. There’s a new name set to join the ranks very soon.

Jakob Tannander, a 25-year-old Swedish goalkeeper, is expected to be announced in the coming hours. He just needs to clear his medical exams, a standard but crucial step. This move will add another option between the posts for Farense.
Tannander grew up playing for Malmö, a well-known club in his home country. His career then saw him loaned to Lunds BK. After that, he packed his bags for Finland, spending three and a half years with HJK. During his time in Finland, he also had loan stints with FC Haka and Klubi-04.
He later returned to Sweden to play for Sirius. Last season, he made a move to Italy, joining Cremonese. However, he didn’t feature in any official matches during his time there. This new chapter at Farense offers him a fresh start and a chance to prove himself on the pitch.
The goalkeeping situation at Farense has certainly kept everyone on their toes. Not long ago, Spanish keeper Lucas Cañizares left the club. He ended up signing with Tondela. Then, Farense brought in Brian Araújo, who previously played for Gil Vicente. There’s even a chance that Ricardo Velho, the team’s usual starter, might still head somewhere else before the market closes. It looks like Farense is setting up for a busy period ahead.
