Bollywood actor Aamir Khan may have announced a sabbatical, but this year the 57-year-old can still be seen in the film Salaam Venky.
The film Salaam Venky first of all marks Kajol’s return to the big screen after her role in 2020’s Tanhaji. And furthermore, we were surprised by Aamir Khan’s cameo in the trailer. He looks charismatic as always. Fans can’t wait to see Kajol and Aamir together again after 16 years on the big screen.
The family drama also marks Revathy’s return as a director after 18 years. Her last film as a director of hers was 2004’s Phir Milenge, which starred Shilpa Shetty, Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
In an interview with the Times of India, Revathy says the normally fussy ‘3 Idiots’ star was so impressed with the script that he didn’t even try to improvise and quickly agreed to act in the film. The superstar reportedly said, “I don’t want to change a word in the script. I say the dialogues as they are here”.
Kajol plays a loving mother determined to be a pillar of support for her terminally ill son.
Salaam Venky is scheduled to be released on December 9, 2022.
