Fan spotted this big mistake in Mani Ratnam’s Ponnyan Selvan 1 movie and asked the creators to fix it.

Director Mani Ratnam has made a movie about the novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, which is one of the most anticipated movies. It is a historical film and Mani Ratnam has high hopes for it. The first part of the film will open in theaters this week on September 30. ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is based on the novel of the same title and narrates the historical story.

Movies made about history often have the potential for factual errors. A fan from Sri Lanka spotted one such mistake and requested the creators to rectify it. A Sri Lankan fan has now noticed a factual error in the Hindi trailer for ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, where the dialogue in the trailer spanning 1:50 addresses Sri Lankans as Sinhalese (Sinhalese country).

Disappointed by the incorrect pronunciation in the Hindi trailer, a fan explained the plight of Tamil-speaking people living in Sri Lanka. So, the fan requested the creators to immediately correct the words in the trailer and the movie. Fan has sent a request through a letter. The electronic version of the letter is now going viral on social media. However, there has been no response from the filmmakers on the matter.

‘PS-1’ is a mega budget movie to be made in two parts. Its first part, PS-1, will be released in theaters on September 30. The trailer for the film has been released, which has been very much to the liking of the audience. This book by Ponniyin Selvan consists of five parts, it was published in 1955. Let us tell you that it is considered one of the greatest novels in the Tamil language. The music for ‘PS-1’ is provided by AR Rehman. Talking about the budget of the movie, it was prepared for around 500 million rupees.
