Swedish veteran Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg has been named the greatest rifler in Counter-Strike history by top professional players Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Yuri “yuurih” Boian of FURIA in a recent video segment.
FalleN, a two-time Major champion, enthusiastically endorsed Lindberg, declaring the former Swedish pro “insane” during their discussion.
The selection occurred during an ESL-produced video where Toledo and Boian evaluated a field of eight top riflers through a bracket-style elimination.
Lindberg, who retired from competitive play in 2022, ultimately defeated fellow finalist Nikola “NiKo” Kovač for the top spot.
The bracket included both current and former stars of the game. Participants were NiKo, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, Robin “ropz” Kool, Marcelo “coldzera” David, Lindberg, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, and İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş.
Two Brazilian players, KSCERATO and coldzera, were eliminated early in the process. KSCERATO lost to ropz, while coldzera was defeated by Lindberg.
Lindberg played Counter-Strike professionally from 2003 to 2022. He won a Major championship with Ninjas in Pyjamas during his career.
According to Liquipedia, Lindberg accumulated approximately 94 titles across various competitive tiers. These victories ranged from C-level events to the highest S-tier competitions.
