Fábio Cardoso Departs FC Porto For Sevilla After Winning Seven Titles

Another familiar face waves goodbye at FC Porto. Defender Fábio Cardoso announced his departure this Tuesday, heading to Sevilla. This move sends him to Spain for a new challenge. It also secures a smart deal for the Dragons. They will keep 25% of any money from his next transfer.

Cardoso poured his heart out on social media. He called his years at Porto “unforgettable.” He spoke of the heavy history of the club’s jersey. The powerful support of the fans also stayed with him. Sharing victories and winning trophies with teammates felt like family. All these memories, he said, are etched deeply within him.

His time at the club brought plenty of good times. There were tough moments too. But together, he celebrated seven titles. Those wins, he vowed, will never fade from his memory. He expressed deep gratitude as he now starts a fresh journey. His heart, he added, is full of thanks.

He thanked the fans who always stood by them. He also thanked his fellow players in the locker room. All the coaching staff and club workers received his appreciation too. They were always there for him. No matter where he plays next, he promised, FC Porto will forever be a part of him.

Fábio Cardoso actually started his career in the Benfica youth system. He later spent three seasons with Santa Clara. He then joined FC Porto for the 2021/22 season. During his time with the Dragons, he played in 78 matches.
