On social media, 54% of Formula 1’s TikTok followers and 40% of its Instagram fans are under 25. This is exactly why these two massive brands have decided to join forces.
Their partnership will cover everything from on-track experiences to media content and merchandise, all kicking off in 2026. The goal? To connect fans worldwide through entertainment and sports – two things both brands know a thing or two about.
“We want F1 to be more than just a sport – we want it to be entertainment that’s accessible to everyone,” says Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer. “By partnering with Disney, we can introduce F1 to a whole new generation of kids and families, while also giving our existing 820 million fans around the world a fresh take on Mickey Mouse.”
Tasia Filippatos, Disney’s President of Consumer Products, adds, “Mickey Mouse is almost 100 years old, but what we do is find new ways to keep him relevant to new generations. By bringing Mickey into the high-speed world of Formula 1, we’re creating something entirely new and exciting.”
