Expomóvil Banreservas closed with 4,400 vehicle financing requests; including 200 electric

The general administrator of the Reserve Bank, Samuel Pereyra, reported that the Expomóvil held this weekend by the financial institution closed with financing requests for some 4,400 units of vehicles for an amount greater than RD $ 7.5 billion.

“In the current context of a pandemic, these are extraordinary results, which exceed our initial expectations, in addition to demonstrating the great support that we have been able to offer to the Dominican family and to the national productive sectors,” he declared.

He said that this Expomóvil Banreservas has shown decisive support for the protection of the environment, which has resulted in a significant increase in financing for electric and hybrid vehicles, with figures exceeding RD $ 500 million in requests for the acquisition of some 200 units, according to a statement from the entity.

The note highlights that in addition to facilitating the financing of a vehicle to the Dominican family, this fair also supported the productive sectors and SMEs, with requests for some RD $ 1,500 million, representing some 700 units of cargo vehicles and heavy equipment and machinery. .

Pereyra attributed the success of the fair to the low rates offered, the insurance conditions for the acquirers and the traditional delivery of all the bank’s staff, who maintained high motivation during the four days of the fair.

Other factors that in his opinion contributed to the dynamization of the automotive market is that this is a fair with wide national coverage, having more than 500 fair points, distributed among the more than 300 Banreservas offices and some 250 dealers and dealers that operated simultaneously .

He added that to this are added the rapid evaluations and approvals of the requests received by the Bank’s business executives.

“These results consolidate that Expomovil is the largest and most anticipated vehicle marketing event in the entire country,” said the general administrator of Banreservas, who explained that during the tours he made in the North Zone, the National District and Santo Domingo Este the dealers and dealers expressed their satisfaction with the dynamization that the business event gave to this sector.

Pereyra added that this fair will be, by far, the most successful that Banreservas has had.

Fees

At the fair there were rates of 4.80% for hybrid and electric vehicles, and of 5.80% for other models.

Banreservas had more than 500 fair points, distributed among the more than 300 offices. About 250 dealers and dealers participated.
