The model is inspired by the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967
With the Ferrari Daytona SP3 the Italian brand bets once again on exclusivity in supercar format: a limited edition of 599 pieces, each with a price of two million euros to which must be added taxes. But that will certainly pay off for buyers.
In this way, the Ferrari brand continues in this way with its series of special models SP, which already started two years ago with the Monza SP1 and SP2, although on that occasion they were two supercars type barchetta with convertibles without a windshield and with one and two seats.
The Ferrari Daytona sports car comes with a 6.5 V12 engine with 840 hp
In the case of the Daytona SP3, it is a hypercar that points to the top of the manufacturer’s range. It takes the base of the Ferrari, but opts for a different mechanical path. Instead, it relies on a naturally aspirated 6.5 V12 block that turns out to be the most powerful engine.
Likewise, to be in its favor, it develops 840 CV of power that is accompanied by 697 Nm of maximum torque. The powertrain is combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and sends all the power to a rear axle, which features a limited-slip differential.
Its most striking feature comes from its interior and its sophisticated design
Thanks to this, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.85 seconds, reaching 200 km / h from a standstill in 7.4 seconds and achieving a maximum speed that exceeds 340 km / h. It also helps to have a carbon fiber monocoque chassis.
In the passenger compartment it is striking that the two seats, which have four-point harnesses, are integrated directly into the chassis structure. In addition, a minimalist approach has been chosen in which all the information is collected in the instrument panel, formed by a 16-inch curved screen.
