Excessive braking can result in heavy fines

Saudi Arabia’s traffic department has said that ‘avoid braking unnecessarily, this may also result in a fine’.

The Saudi Traffic Department has given instructions to apply brakes only when necessary, and if you apply brakes unnecessarily, you may be fined up to 500 riyals.

The Saudi Traffic Department said in a statement that driving on the sidewalk and roadside is a traffic violation. He will be punished’.

“Driving on footpaths or roadsides is prohibited. Those who do not comply are guilty of violating traffic laws.”
