Shuhei Yoshida, former president of Sony Interactive, says the combat system is key to Stellar Blade’s success. He tried the game, then called Project Eve, and loved the fighting. This caught Sony’s attention, making them want to publish the game.
Yoshida talked to Gamewatch with Hyung-Tae Kim, president of Shift Up, and Hyung-Seok Yoo, director of Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Yoshida said the combat system is what makes the game fun. He praised the team for listening to feedback and making it better.
Combat System
The combat system is different from Shift Up’s previous games. Yoshida liked it from the start, and it’s even better now. The team worked hard to make it smooth and natural.
Game Release
Stellar Blade is out now for PS5 and PC. The game has beautiful character designs and graphics, but the combat system is what makes it special. Yoshida and Kim praise each other for their work on the game. Without Yoshida’s support, Stellar Blade might not be the success it is today.
