The world of retro gaming just got a major boost. Blaze Entertainment, the brains behind the Evercade, a sleek handheld console that’s like a modern Gameboy on steroids, has joined forces with SNK to bring back some classic arcade action. The Evercade is all about playing old-school games, and its interchangeable cartridges make it a must-have for collectors.
Recently, the company announced a new cartridge packed with six iconic Neo Geo arcade games, including Metal Slug, The King of Fighters 2000, and Sengoku. This cartridge, called Neo Geo Arcade 1, is set to drop in July for $24.99. That’s a steal, considering you get six games that’ll bring back memories of feeding quarters into machines at the arcade.
But that’s not all – Blaze Entertainment is also releasing a limited-edition Evercade console designed to look like the classic Neo Geo. This fancy handheld comes preloaded with 14 legendary Neo Geo games, such as Alpha Mission II, Blazing Star, and Samurai Shodown II. And the best part? It’s compatible with all existing Evercade cartridges, so you can expand your game library. The console is set to launch on April 1, 2025, priced at 79.99 euros, and will be available exclusively at Funstock. Only 3,000 units will be made, so you’ll need to act fast to get your hands on one.
Here’s the full list of games that come with the limited-edition Evercade:
