Euskaltel-Euskadi is concentrated in Cambrils to prepare for 2023

The Euskaltel-Euskadi team looks forward to the 2023 season with enthusiasm and enthusiasm and this Wednesday will begin a rally in Cambrils (Tarragona) to finalize its set-up for the first races of the year.

A concentration in which they will carry out long-distance training in two groups and in which the 20 cyclists of the team will be, among which the three new additions for this year: Enekoitz Azparren, Xabier Berasategi and Andoni López de Abetxuko.

In this way, the Euskadi Foundation team faces its fourth season as a UCI ProTeam team that will start with the dispute of tests like the Gran Premi Valencia on January 22, the five tests of the Mallorca Challenge from January 25 to 29, and the Saudi Tour, in which the team will compete from January 30 to February 3.

In statements collected by the team, Jorge Azanza, sports director of the Euskaltel-Euskadi, assessed what the objectives of this concentration will be. “It is about the riders and the staff coming together and also integrating the new ones, as well as doing a series of serious training sessions for the first competitions, finalizing the form and seeing how the riders are doing to define the lineups for the first competitions. We will also hold group and individual meetings to define the calendar and collective and personal objectives. It is always exciting because it is the starting point for the season”. A 2023 in which ‘the orange tide’ wants to stand out again before the great teams of the peloton.
