Eurobasket 2025: Neemias Queta Joins Portugal’s Roster for Finals

Neemias Queta is one of 15 players chosen for Portugal’s Eurobasket 2025 team. He’s the only Portuguese player in the NBA, and he plays for the Boston Celtics. Queta didn’t play in the qualifying rounds because of his commitment to the Celtics.

Nuno Sá is also back on the team, replacing André Cruz, who’s out due to injury. The team has a few new faces, including Queta and Sá, who weren’t part of the last two qualifying games in February.

Rúben Prey, a 20-year-old player from the US, was left out of the team. Portugal will start preparing for Eurobasket with three friendly games in Spain. They’ll play against the Spanish national team on August 5 and the Spanish B team on August 7.

Upcoming Games

Portugal has a tough schedule ahead. They’ll play against Argentina on August 10 in Madrid. Then, they’ll head back home to play in the International Tournament of Braga, where they’ll face Iceland on August 15 and Sweden on August 16.
