European iPhone and iPad users can now play Nintendo Switch, Wii, and GameCube games smoothly on their devices.
AltStore PAL, a third-party app store, has made this possible after the Digital Markets Act (DMA) changed the rules last year.
The store’s team recently celebrated its one-year anniversary by releasing AltStore Classic, which lets users download non-notarized apps and other alternative app stores.
What makes AltStore Classic special
It doesn’t require a developer account, and apps won’t expire.
Users also don’t need AltServer on a PC or Mac to install apps, although they’ll still need it to manage non-notarized apps later.
The team also launched StikDebug, an app that enables Just-In-Time (JIT) code compilation directly on devices.
This is crucial for running demanding emulators like Dolphin for Wii and GameCube games or meloNX for Nintendo Switch games.

For Nintendo fans in the EU, this is a golden opportunity to play console games on their iPhones or iPads.
As long as they obtain game files legally, they can enjoy a seamless gaming experience.
AltStore PAL and AltStore Classic have turned iPhones and iPads into a haven for retro gaming and console enthusiasts, with smooth-running emulators and no hassle.
