Two addresses that had been inactive for more than four years recently came back to life. These two addresses together moved 22,982 ETH to new addresses. The ETH tokens in question came from trading platforms Genesis and Poloniex and moved 13,103.99 ETH and 9,878 ETH respectively.
The Twitter account ‘Peckshield’ found that the last movement of ETH tokens dates back to October 2018, when the price of 1 Ether was around $190 and $230. Currently, 1 ETH token is worth about $1,200.
What the movement of the large amount of ether tokens will mean for the market is not yet clear. Often it is not a good sign that old wallets are shifting large amounts of tokens. It could mean that they want to sell the tokens. However, it could also just be that the whales just want to move the tokens from wallet.
