A recent friendly goal has put Romanian winger Ianis Stoica in contention for a starting spot for Estrela da Amadora in their upcoming league clash against Sporting, potentially ending a month-long absence from the first eleven.
The 22-year-old forward scored in Estrela da Amadora’s victory over Spanish side Real Valladolid in a recent friendly match.
This performance has reportedly impressed coach João Nuno. He is now considering Stoica for a starting role in Saturday’s Liga Betclic fixture at Sporting’s Alvalade stadium.
Stoica joined Estrela da Amadora last summer from Romanian club Hermannstad.
He has scored two goals in 11 official appearances this season.
However, Stoica has not started for the team in over a month. His last start was during a surprising 3-1 defeat in the Portuguese Cup against Alpendorada.
