Estrada requests that Andreu Camps and Velasco Carballo testify before the judge for the ‘Negreira Case’

New chapter in the ‘Negreira Case’ and that I am writing it again Xavier Estrada Fernández. The VAR referee was the one who filed the first lawsuit before the courts to investigate the payment of 7.5 million euros from Barcelona to the then vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees. The Catalan collegiate has now asked the courts to call Velasco Carballo, former president of the CTA, Andreu Camps, current secretary general of the Federation, and the last two directors of the RFEF’s integrity department to testify.

Estrada Fernández’s lawyers ask the Investigating Court No. 1 of Barcelona to call Alfredo Lorenzo, former director of the Federation’s integrity department, and Miguel García Caba, who has replaced him in office since May 2023, to testify, so that “Report on the result of the investigation into which active referees have received coaching services from Javier Enríquez Negreira Romero (son of the investigated CTA vice president) and the result of the survey sent to the referees on the occasion of this investigation.”

Besides, They request that the judge carry out proceedings “urgently” against Andreu CampsSecretary General of the Federation. They ask that you “report in a detailed and detailed manner” on the requirement of the Tax Agency. This institution requested in October 2021 information from the Federation on the functions and responsibilities of Enríquez Negreira, in addition to the contracts signed between 2016 and 2019, positions, functions, remuneration and forms of payment in the CTA. Estrada also requests that Andreu Camps Provide the UEFA requirement on the ‘Negreira Case’ and the response that was given to the institution chaired by Ceferín. To all this, they ask that the Federation also provide the report prepared as a result of their investigation together with the explanations given by Barcelona.
