Sometimes, a young footballer just needs a different stage to shine. That seems to be the case for Manga Foe-Ondoa. The 19-year-old French midfielder is heading to UD Oliveirense. He will play there for the 2025/26 season. The club announced the move this Friday. He joins on a loan deal from Estoril.
Foe-Ondoa found playing time hard to come by at Estoril. He couldn’t break into their main squad. But this loan is a big step up for his career. He will now make his debut in the 2nd League. This is a higher level of competition than he faced last season.
Last season, Foe-Ondoa played for Estoril’s Under-23 team. He had a strong showing there. He scored four goals in 22 games. His journey to Estoril began in the summer of 2024. Estoril signed him from French club Valenciennes.
Before moving to Estoril, Foe-Ondoa already had senior experience. He played for Valenciennes’ main team. That club was in France’s second tier. During his time there, he played 21 games. He also scored four goals. Now, all eyes will be on his performance at UD Oliveirense. It’s a chance for him to truly make his mark.
