Estoril is getting ready for a new season. The club just shared its summer game schedule. Fans can expect to see the team play nine friendly matches before the league starts. These games are a chance to test new ideas and build team spirit.
Two matches against English clubs really stand out. Estoril will face Nottingham Forest on July 30. This game is extra interesting because Forest is coached by Nuno Espírito Santo, a well-known name in Portuguese football. Later, on August 2, Estoril will play Millwall. These two British tests will be a good measure for the squad.
The team’s preparations start right away. This Wednesday, the players have a training game against their own Under-23 squad. It’s a quick way to shake off the rust. Then, on Saturday, they will finish their training camp in Tróia with a friendly match against Belenenses.
July will be a busy month. After the Belenenses game, Estoril plays Marítimo on the 16th. They then face Alverca on the 19th. The 23rd brings a double header against Mafra and Atlético. Rounding out the month, they will play Sporting B on the 26th. All these matches are designed to help the team get into top shape.
