Estoril Announces Finn Dicke Contract Termination By Mutual Agreement

Dicke leaves the Canaries

Estoril and Finn Dicke have decided to go their separate ways. The club announced that the 20-year-old Dutch midfielder is leaving. Both sides agreed to end his contract. It became clear he wouldn’t find a spot in the squad for the new season.

Dicke came up through the ranks at Dutch club ADO Den Haag. He truly made his mark in Portugal with Estoril’s U23 team. There, he helped them win both the League and the Revelation Cup. He played a total of 44 games for the Canaries.

Despite his promise, only two of those 44 matches were with the senior squad. Last season, he spent time on loan with Beveren in Belgium. He picked up two assists across 16 games there. But even after that experience, coach Ian Cathro didn’t see a place for him.

So, Dicke now waves goodbye to the Canaries. It’s a common story in football, where young talent sometimes needs a fresh start. This mutual decision opens up a new chapter for the midfielder. He’ll be looking for a new club where he can play more regularly.
