Esports Powerhouse Sentinels Expands to LoL, Signs Doublelift as Streamer

Esports giant Sentinels just shook up the League of Legends world. The organization, known for its powerhouse teams, announced this past Friday, October 10, that it’s officially stepping into the competitive LoL scene. This move brings a familiar face from the North American esports community back into the spotlight.

Sentinels has made a name for itself across various gaming titles. They are especially famous for their top-tier performance in VALORANT, another popular game from developer Riot. True to their reputation, Sentinels aims for the top wherever they compete. Their entry into League of Legends, a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, will be no different.

The big news came from Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, a legendary former player and Attack Damage Carry (AD carry) who is an icon in the LoL scene. Doublelift himself announced the team’s arrival in the game. He will now serve as a streamer for the organization. This means fans can catch him co-streaming the team’s matches. He’ll also be co-streaming the League Championship Series (LCS), which is set to return in 2026.

Soon after Sentinels shared their news, the official League of The Americas (LTA North) profile confirmed another exciting detail. The organization will join the LTA North league starting next year. This means Sentinels will jump right into two major competitive circuits.
