Eric Dier has recently started a new chapter with Monaco. He’s finding his feet quickly after a tricky period with Bayern Munich. What’s really hitting home for the seasoned defender is the sheer number of young players around him. It’s a feeling he knows well from his earlier days.
Dier, speaking to The Telegraph, shared that this environment brings back memories. He remembers his time at Sporting and Tottenham with the same fondness. “It reminds me a lot of that team,” he stated, referring to the vibrant youth he’s seeing now. “Everyone around the same age, all together… I’ve never seen so much young talent gathered in one spot. It’s absolutely true.”
That youthful buzz is clearly infectious. Dier feels it helps keep him fresh and engaged. He also values being in a position to guide these budding stars. “It’s good to be around that youth, with all that energy,” he added. “It keeps you young. Plus, it’s great to be able to share my experience and lend a hand to the others.”
