Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone has learned from past mistakes with game updates.
The game, a farming simulator, has become a global phenomenon, but Barone acknowledges that its update rollout hasn’t always been smooth.
Different versions of the game were updated at different times, leaving some players frustrated.
Past Update Issues
The game’s version 1.6 update was a particular problem.
Console versions lagged behind the PC version by months.
Barone admits this was a “nightmare” for him, and he’s determined not to repeat the mistake.
Future Update Plans
Barone has promised that if there’s another Stardew Valley update, he won’t announce it until it’s ready for all platforms.
This means no more uneven updates or frustrated players.
However, Barone has previously stated that there won’t be another Stardew Valley update until his new game, Haunted Chocolatier, is released.
What’s Next?
Fans eagerly awaiting a new Stardew Valley update will have to wait until Haunted Chocolatier is out.
Only then will Barone consider updating Stardew Valley again.
For now, players will have to be patient and enjoy the game as it is.
