Fortnite’s Imposters mode is a copy of Among Us in All But Name, as anyone who has ever tried knows.
Now, nearly two months after its release, Epic Games finally recognizes in today’s patch notes what was evident.: Imposters is “inspired” by Among Us of Innersloth.
This is indicated by Epic Games in their Web page:
Patch v18.20 brings improvements to Imposters, the game mode inspired by Innersloth’s Between Us!
Imposters was released in August, set in the 3D universe of Fortnite, but borrowing gameplay, mechanics and even terminology from Between Us (like the name “Imposters” itself).
At this moment, Epic did not mention Entre Nós, leading Innersloth team members to complain about their work being copied.
As Innersloth co-founder Marcus Bromander observed at the time, the company did not patent the mechanics of Entre Nós, but lamented Epic’s lack of effort to develop your own version of the game.
