Entities sign an agreement to issue “digital tags”

The Reserve Bank, Reservation Insurance, INTRANT and DIGESETT launched the “Digital Labels” project, which will allow traffic agents to issue and verify, in real time and using QR technology, insurance policies for motor vehicles.

Through this agreement, Banreservas donated 500 state-of-the-art portable digital readers with integrated Wi-Fi and the ability to read the QR code to the National Institute of Land Transit and Transportation and to the General Directorate of Security and Land Transit, which will be given access to Secure Reservations from your Allied policy base.

The agreement, which will promote road safety, was signed by José Manuel Almonte, administrative deputy administrator of the Bank; Víctor Rojas, executive vice president of the Insurance; Rafael Ernesto Arias, president of INTRANT; and Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, executive director of DIGESETT, in the Banreservas Tower Board of Directors Room.

“We are deeply satisfied to sign this important agreement, which is established to guarantee a more competent and reliable work for citizens, promoting better vehicle circulation on our public roads with maximum efficiency and safety,” said Almonte, on behalf of the administrator General of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra.

Policy reading

Víctor Rojas, executive vice president of Seguros Reservas, highlighted the interest of Seguros Reservas in “obtaining the technology of electronic QR-type tags that will allow the complete reading of an entire policy, to know if it is current or not, which is the big problem that arises in our streets, and that today, through this technology, we will have it resolved ”. These QR codes will only be read by these specialized readers.

He added that “this Strategic Alliance to put into effect the Digital Label is exclusive for our clients, which will facilitate the land traffic authorities to verify the validity and validity of motor vehicle insurance policies in an agile and practical way, discarding the need to have a physical card, which represents, in turn, an ecological action, since it will avoid the use of plastics “.

For his part, the executive director of DIGESETT, Ramón Guzmán, said that thanks to this type of tool, this institution will be more efficient in the exercise of its inspection tasks.

Rafael Arias, director of INTRANT, affirmed that this new mechanism is a support both for the insured and for the clients, since a current insurance allows an effective response to damages that may be caused in the use of public roads.

DIGESETT agents will be trained

To facilitate the use of digital readers, Seguros Reservas will hold technical training sessions for DIGESETT agents, so that they can make use of the technology provided and thus verify in real time the coverage of motor vehicles and trailers insured in the country.

This inter-institutional collaboration is part of the social responsibility policy of the Reserva Familia, which on this occasion joins efforts with two entities that carry out a work of service to citizens.
