The England cricket team is on tour of India. The England team has to play a five-match Test series in India. The Test series between India and England begins tomorrow, Thursday, January 25th. The first Test match of the series will be played in Hyderabad. England captain Ben Stokes has announced his playing eleven for the game.
England did not include senior fast bowler James Anderson in their playing XI for the first Test. Considering the pitch, Ben Stokes included two spinners in the final XI. That being said, Ben Fox has a chance in place of Harry Brook.
Jack Crawley and Ben Duckett, who will discuss England's playing eleven, will open the innings. Ollie Pope and then experienced batsman Joe Root will then be seen playing. Jonny Bairstow will play at number five. However, he will not be responsible for wicketkeeping. In such a situation, he plays as a batsman. Then Stokes will come as captain. Stokes only plays at number six in this entire series. Wicketkeeper Ben Fox will then play. In this way, the England team will go into the first Test with seven batsmen.
In the first Test played in Hyderabad, the England team included three spinners in their playing XI. These include leg spinner Rehan Ahmed, left arm spinner Jack Leach and young Tom Hartley. Tom Hartley will make his debut in Hyderabad. The surprising thing is that England only included Mark Wood as a fast bowler in the playing eleven for the first Test. Along with him, Ben Stokes will play the role of the second fast bowler.
Jack Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (captain), Ben Foakes (wicketkeeper), Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Jake Leach and Mark Wood.
