ENG vs NZ: Hard blow for New Zealand before the second test, this veteran player was left out of the team

After losing the first Test on the tour of England, the New Zealand team, who were trailing behind in the series, have suffered another setback. The team’s all-rounder, Colin de Grandhomme, has been ruled out of the entire tour due to injury. Michael Bracewell has been included in the New Zealand test squad in place of him.

Colin de Grandhomme has suffered an injury to the heel of his right foot. After a medical examination, he was found to be unfit for the rest of the tour. Colin’s performance in the first test was excellent. In the opening innings of the match, when the New Zealand team was all on the embarrassing score of just 132 runs, Colin played the biggest innings. Colin scored 42 not out. He though he couldn’t do anything special in bowling and could only take 1 wicket.

The New Zealand team is 1-0 behind in this 3 match series. In the first test, he had to face defeat by 5 wickets. In this match New Zealand’s first innings was reduced to 132 runs. In response, the Kiwi bowlers also restricted England to just 141. Following this, New Zealand scored 285 runs in the second innings and England got a goal of 277 runs to win. The English batsmen achieved this goal by losing 5 wickets.

The second test of the Test series between New Zealand and England will start from June 10. This match will be played in Nottingham. The final game of the series will be played in Leeds from June 23-27.
